Library changes this week

Study spaces in the LJMU libraries have been available to students who need study space outside the home since the start of the academic year, but as we approach the revision and assessment periods we are introducing some limits on the booking slots from this week.

Students can book up to 12 slots per week and each session can be up to four hours long but students should book only the time they need as desks are in heavy demand. Out of respect for others, they are also asked to cancel bookings they cannot fulfil. Students who do not arrive within 30 minutes of their allotted time may lose the space.

Additional desks have been made available by staff in Aldham Robarts Library but Avril Robarts Library is less busy and it may be possible to book a seat there, particularly if you book well in advance. Please consult the Ask the Library chat service on our website.

The wearing of face coverings is mandatory inside all buildings, unless you are medically exempt.

Students who are able to study from home or in their accommodation should do so and avoid travelling to campus.
